Another WCB Evacuation

A number of downtown streets were closed early Friday afternoon as police looked into an incident at the Workers Compensation Board head office at 333 Broadway.

Those inside were evacuated. The police had yellow tape around the building. About an hour later, police took down the tape, traffic resumed, and employees were allowed back in.

Last February, a man was taken into custody, after driving his truck up the front steps of the building. The 49-year old was arrested after uttering words of frustration over dealing with issues pertaining to CN Rail.
